I think they are LOVING it!!!

All the free publicity about a beautiful, Hispanic doll who dances.... most people, besides a few in Chicago, are just shaking their heads at the other stuff and are finding out about a new doll that will appeal to thousands of girls. They are thrilled about the free advertising I'm sure.

And correct me if I'm wrong about freedom of speech ... but don't you think at least FICTIONAL people are allowed their own opinions in America?

Sorry, but she didn't make the news here in Europe - yet.

Our main concern - or one of them - is all the snow. It even snowed in Greece. Here in Austria, some areas had up to 7' (yes, feet not inches) of snow within the past 3 days. Yesterday night my BIL got stuck on way home from Munich and spent most of the night - between 3pm to 3am - snowed in on the motorway between Munich and Salzburg. He finally managed to get home by 7:15am. Usually the drive from Munich to Vienna is about 6 hours. In the news they kept saying that the Red Cross was distributing hot tea and blankets, however, my poor BIL didn't see any.

Various towns are cut off and can't be reached due to the masses of snow and the danger of avalanches. This weekend winter break starts, not just in parts of Austria, but also Germany and the Netherlands, and thousands of skiers are expected to arrive in the various skiing resorts. Some might not be able to get to their reserved hotels as they are not reachable.
